We are holding a special workday in recognition of National Public Lands Day. Lunch will be provided
We will be performing trail maintenance and building new sections of trail. There will be varying levels of work from moderate to mildly strenuous. Other activities may include collecting trash, moving brush, rocks, shoveling dirt, hoeing and leveling, etc. Ages 10yrs or older are welcome and there should be something for everyone.
There will be drinks and water available, however; all participants will be required to bring their own water bottle or hydration device. We are striving for an event that produces little waste so there will be no cups for water at the event.
All tools will be provided. No power tools will be needed. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately, wearing long pants, leather work boots, eye protection, hats, gloves etc. We will be working in undeveloped forested areas so bug repellant is encouraged. It is possible to be exposed to ticks and poison ivy. All participants will be required to sign a participation release of liability waiver.
